Caregiver Support, End of Life Care / Palliative Care, and Home Health Care
Provided by Cowichan Valley Hospice Society
- One-to-one emotional support and information for people living with serious illness and their family members as defined by client
- Advance Care Planning workshops and personal support to start the conversation and develop a plan
- Lending Library available to the public during office hours, includes information on caregiving, the palliative journey, grief support, and picture books for children
- Wellness treatments for clients and their caregivers (e.g., reiki and therapeutic touch)
- Caregiver support group
- Hospice Coordinator at Cowichan District Hospital (weekly) and Cowichan
- Hospice House (daily) (with volunteer team as permitted by Island Health pandemic response)
- Volunteer team at Cowichan Hospice House
