Food Hamper and Banks in the Chemainus Area

Provided by Chemainus Harvest House Society

Distributes food to those in need, serving residents from Saltair to Westholme and creating public awareness of the needs of the community.
Chemainus Harvest House Society has 4 distribution sites that serve residents from Saltair to Westholme. Individuals are encouraged to register in advance to help CHHS food bank distribution, but pre-registration is not required in order to receive food. Those in need may access the food bank once per week at the location that best fits their schedule. Harvest House Food Banks are open to all, and no one is ever alone. Friends or neighbors may pick up a hamper on behalf of someone in need.

Food bank locations include:
  • Chemainus Distribution Site: Tuesdays: 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm and Fridays: 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
  • Crofton Distribution Site: Mondays: 10:00 am - 11:30 am
  • Penelakut Youth Centre Stop & Shop: Tuesdays 11:30 am - 2:00 pm
  • Thetis Island (Forbes Hall): Thursday 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm
