Literacy Services - Duncan

Provides a trained tutor or staff member to help improve skills in English, Numeracy, Digital Literacy, Financial Literacy, or filling out forms and applications.
Literacy Now Cowichan offers free tutoring for adults (18+) in the following subjects: English reading and writing, math, financial literacy, and digital literacy. We provide free support for people needing help filling out forms or applications. We also have a computer lab open twice a week to the public (age 18+) for free use of our computers or wifi.

The following literacy services are offered:
  • English: reading, writing, spelling, or English as an additional language.
  • Numeracy: math for day-to-day living, basic school math, or preparation for a math assessment test for college or university.
  • Financial Literacy: basics of budgeting and finances.
  • Digital Literacy: how to use a computer, laptop, tablet, cell phone or smartphone.
  • Upgrading: help preparing for the BC Adult Graduation Diploma
