Eating Disorders Program - Adult - Northern Health

Provides assessments, consultation, and treatment, as well as individual and family education and support for adults with Eating Disorders. Consultation, assessment and treatment to the Northern region available through Zoom and teams.
Serves individuals of all ages with food and weight issues including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating, and avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). It offers in-person outpatient care for people in Prince George and the Northern Health region, and virtual services (phone or video chat) for people anywhere in the North.
Program team includes 2 dieticians, 2 youth therapists, adult therapist, 3 physicians, psychiatry, 2 nurses, and team leader. Treatment includes:
  • Individual, family, and group counselling
  • Nutritional counselling
  • Outpatient program
  • Referrals to tertiary programs
Referrals accepted from physicians, nurse practitioners and specialists.
