Child Services, Pregnancy Care, Public Health, and Sexual Health
Provided by Northern Health
- Early Years: Public Health Nurses (PHNs) assess maternal & newborn health and development, and provide education and ongoing support through early childhood as needed.
- Child Health Clinics: Global health and development assessments, health information, education and referrals. Immunizations according to the BC Immunization Guide for children at 2, 4, 6, 12, and 18 months, and for 4-6 year olds.
- Sexual Health & Youth: Healthy students are better learners and better-educated individuals are healthier. A healthy school is one that consistently strengthens its capacity as a healthy setting for learning, playing, and working.
- Nutrition: Dieticians provide information and support related to food and nutrition via consultations, clinics, and health promotion.
