Provides various navigation and financial supports for individuals and families affected by neurofibromatosis.
The following programs are offered:

Navigation Support:
  • Online Community Support: The NF Families Facebook group is a private community for patients and families you can connect to for support and inspiration. This group is a valuable source of information for questions about navigating the medical system, advocating for resources at school, or wondering where to stay during treatment in Vancouver.
  • NF Support Line: Support staff can answer your questions about diagnosis and treatment; the progression of NF1, NF2 and Schwannomatosis; employment; life transitions, and more!


Financial Support:
  • Scholarship Program: Provides educational scholarships to students (currently attending or planning to attend, a post secondary institution of education or training) in British Columbia, living with neurofibromatosis. A minimum of two financial awards, valued at $500 each, will be awarded annually. Funds may be use toward any post-secondary program and are applicable for the upcoming academic year.
  • Family Fund Grants: The goal of the Family Fund Grant is to provide individuals and families affected with neurofibromatosis with financial resources to access specialized care that otherwise would not be possible. Funds will be provided in part for specialized therapies (neuropsychological assessment, genetic testing, employment counseling), adaptive equipment (wheelchair, back brace, hearing aids) and custom orthotics. The maximum possible contribution for an eligible purchase is up to 50% of the total cost.
