Provides free, inclusive substance use recovery support, peer connection, wellness activities, and resources for adults 19+ with lived or living experience.
The Junction BC is a free, inclusive recovery support program for adults 19+ with lived or living experience of substance use. Through peer support, recovery navigation, wellness activities, and community connection, The Junction helps participants build relationships, access resources, and pursue their own goals for health and recovery. Services are available online and in person, with no referral required.

Programs and services include:
  • Building Back Coffee & Chat: A welcoming drop-in group for people in recovery or curious about recovery. Led by people with lived and living experience and staff, the group offers a safe space to connect with peers, enjoy refreshments, listen to music, participate in art and games, share recovery experiences, access peer support, and relax. Everyone is welcome to participate at their own pace.

  • All-Pathways: An inclusive support group for anyone experiencing or with experience of substance use who is seeking or maintaining wellness and recovery. Led by people with lived and living experience and staff, the group supports all recovery pathways and individual goals. Participants can share, listen, and connect while exploring topics such as change, purpose, healthy relationships, triggers, and cravings. A 2SLGBTQ+ specific meeting is also available.

  • Navigating Recovery: An open educational group for anyone interested in learning about recovery and the different pathways available. Led by staff and people with lived and living experience, sessions explore topics such as defining recovery, personal values, harm reduction, recovery supports, wellness, goal-setting, and balance. Participants receive a free workbook and can attend as often as they like.

  • Movement: Movement programs inclusive but not limited to: yoga, tai chi, and dance. Find the schedule of upcoming meeting dates, times and locations in the events calendar, or by contacting a local Junction.

  • Art, Music, and Culture: Programs and sessions offering creative authentic, person-centered opportunities for self-expression – no experience or artistic skill is needed. Find the schedule of upcoming meeting dates, times and locations in the events calendar, or by contacting a local Junction.

  • One-to-One Recovery Navigator Support: One-on-one support with a Recovery Navigator is available to discuss wellness and recovery goals and connect with community supports. Navigators can assist with goal-setting, finding balance and purpose, exploring education and employment resources, understanding local substance use services, and connecting with healthcare and community organizations.

  • Indigenous Cultural Programming: For example, programs that offer smudge ceremony and recovery discussion that incorporates Indigenous ways of knowing, seeking and healing. All are welcome! Find the schedule of upcoming meeting dates, times and locations in the events calendar.

  • Happier Hour: A fun, safe, and supportive social program celebrating holistic recovery and community connection. Activities may include karaoke, trivia, bowling, games, and movies, along with snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Participants can build supportive connections, try new activities, and enjoy a welcoming substance-free environment.
