Minds in Motion - Exercise Program

Provided by Alzheimer Society of BC

A fitness and social program for people experiencing early symptoms of Alzheimer's disease or another dementia and a friend, family member or care partner.
The program offers both in-person and online fitness and social program for people living with any form of early-stage dementia along with a family member, friend or other care partners.

Available at numerous locations throughout BC. Visit the website for location details or call your area's Alzheimer Society Resource Centre. Registration fees (in-person sessions) include the cost of the person living with dementia and one care partner. Start at any time and pay a pro-rated registration fee.

The online Minds in Motion® consists of a 30-minute fitness video followed by 45 minutes of social activity and is an opportunity to connect with others living with dementia. Care partners must attend.

Groups meet weekly:
  • Tuesdays: 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM. or 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM.
  • Wednesdays: 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM.
  • Wednesdays (Cantonese): 1:00 PM – 2:15 PM.
  • Thursdays: 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM.
  • Fridays: 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM.
Sessions are free to attend and hosted online via Microsoft Teams.
