The free program that serves older adults aged 55+ who need emotional support.
The Campbell River Women's Resource Centre is offering free peer counselling for seniors. Senior adults who are experiencing challenges due to life changes, health or family issues, often benefit from having individual support from trained volunteer peer counsellors. Weekly visits help seniors to work out problems, if needed, with an empathetic listener and provide an opportunity for socializing and connecting with other seniors.
The Senior Peer Counselling Coordinator can provide information and an intake appointment to see if this program will be a beneficial fit, as well as provide information on the other resources available in the community. Senior Peer Counselling needs volunteer men and women aged 55+ for this meaningful volunteer experience.
