Counselling Service Program - Ladysmith

Offer individuals the opportunity to engage in a process to develop the skills necessary to face life’s challenges, and to support individuals in their goal of healthy mental health.
The LRCA Counselling Program is designed to provide short-term, solution-focused therapy for those without extended medical health benefits or an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). All counsellors are supervised by the program coordinator and receive clinical supervision from a registered counsellor. Intake appointments are conducted with the program manager to discuss specific requirements and issues. Services are offered for adults and youth, ranging from one to ten sessions depending on the presenting issues which may include:
  • Mild mood and anxiety disorders
  • Life transitions (e.g. employment, moving)
  • Grief and loss
  • Divorce and separation
  • Parenting
  • Relationship issues
  • Any issue pertaining to mental and physical health, including COVID-19
Cost to Access is $20 a session, however no one is turned away because of an inability to pay. Please call to speak with the intake coordinator.

Referral to the program can be made through family doctors, mental health specialists and/or self-referrals

Hours of Operation are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Closed on weekends.
