Youth Counselling Program

Provided by Cowichan Valley Youth Services (CVYS)

Provides free counselling and support services for youth age 13 -18 in the Cowichan Valley both in-office at via mobile outreach.
This program provides free, confidential, trauma-informed counselling support for youth facing challenges such as anger, anxiety, depression, family conflict, grief, and more. Whether you’re feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, or out of control, trained counsellors are here to listen, support, and help you navigate your emotions and experiences.

By emphasizing the importance of open, neutral conversations to gain clarity about what is or isn’t working, youth are empowered to have a say in their counselling experience and to develop self- confidence, resilience, and self-determination as they chart their own path forward in life.

Support is available for a wide range of concerns including anxiety, self-harm, bullying, relationships, social skills, gender identity, and family conflict.
