Raven’s Nest Center - Criminal Justice System Navigation
Abuse / Neglect, Legal, Services for Youth, and Victim Services
Provided by Cowichan Women Against Violence Society
Helps youth 18 years old or under who have experienced or witnessed abuse to navigate the justice system.
Advocates are available to support individuals through every step of their journey. Information and resources are provided to individuals and their caregivers, along with assistance navigating the criminal justice system. Advocates are also available to deliver public presentations for those seeking education for employees, volunteers, students, teachers, health professionals, non-profits, and other groups.
The Raven’s Nest Center is equipped with one interview room, one monitoring room, a remote testimony room, a waiting room, friendly staff, and an accredited facility animal. The plain-clothed RCMP officer conducts the forensic interview at the centre, after which individuals may remain on site to ask their advocate any questions they may have.
